Stoke City midfielder Michael Tonge has joined Leeds United on loan. The 29 year old has arrived at Elland Road on a short term deal till December as midfield cover with Paul Green and David Norris both on the sidelines. Tonge could make his LUFC debut as early as this weekend when they take on Cardiff City.
Tonge joined Stoke from Sheffield United in 2008 but has struggled to hold down a place at the Britannia Stadium. He has had two spells on loan at Barnsley and one at Derby County during his stint with the Potters, making this loan stint his fifth one in three years.
