Wigan Athletic have announced the signing of Korean international Cho Won Hee on a free transfer. Won Hee, 25, can play in both defence and attack, and could make his debut for the Latics this weekend against the Black Cats.
Won Hee was a free agent after he left Suwon Bluewings to try his luck out in Europe. He had a trial with Monaco before he caught the eye of Latics boss Steve Bruce, who hailed him as an excellent prospect.
Won Hee has signed a two and a half year contract at the JJB. Can he replicate the success achieved by Wilson Palacios last year? Apparently it was Palacios’ agent who alerted the Latics to Won Hee’s availability.
